Established in 1983, Grosvenor Pirie is proudly Australian owned and is non-aligned with any large financial institutions, allowing us to provide tailored solutions without compromise.
Grosvenor Pirie was founded by Hubert (Dan) East, who was involved in investment management and administration since 1971.
Hubert established a number of funds both in Australia and internationally and has developed a range of administration and compliance models for the superannuation industry.
In 1990 Hubert launched the original Grosvenor Pirie Master Superannuation Fund (GPMSF) which later became known as the GPMSF - Series 2 in order to accomodate an altered structure with an approved trustee. The GPMSF - Series 2 has since grown to have more than 12,000 members.
In 2002 Hubert was joined in the company by his son Daniel East, who is now Director and Chief Executive Officer, whilst Hubert remained Executive Director.
Daniel's previous experience was in investment banking where he held several key management roles in the Treasury and Risk divisions of leading financial institutions in Australia and Europe, including his final role as Australian Head of Treasury for one of Japan's largest banks.
Over the last ten years Grosvenor Pirie has diversified its operations from being a Superannuation Master Fund provider to using their infrastructure to assist other investment managers to create their own partly or wholly branded products and services.
In addition, SMSF/DIY Superannuation has become an increasingly significant part of the business and continues to attract investors who appreciate the flexibility that our service model provides.
Grosvenor Pirie continues to grow and cement its respected reputation as a specialist product and services provider in the investment services industry.
